ROAR!!
ROAR!, written and directed by slice Lindsey Hope Pearlman, is the latest production with BREAD Arts Collective. The loaf was ecstatic to continue the journey with Exponential Festival, 2024 and bring the show on home to Brooklyn! And, we made it into American Theatre Magazine's January Festival Roundup! Read the article and review HERE!
We also received a review by Joey Sims which can be found HERE!
ROAR! is an experimental comedic play with original rock music which tells the true story of the making of a movie starring 100 lions, tigers and other untrained big cats. Written and directed by BREAD member Lindsey Hope Pearlman with music by BREAD founding member Andrew Lynch, ROAR! is about 1970’s Hollywood, mental illness, and the sacred bond between mother and daughter.
The play ROAR! dramatizes the disastrous endeavor of making a film starring hundreds of wild, big cats. Some say the film ROAR! is the “most dangerous home movie ever made”.
BREAD has workshopped ROAR! at Little Pond Arts Retreat, Cloud City, and The Strand Theatre in Rockland, ME.
